Scotland, Robert II Silver Groat 1371-1390AD Mint of Edinburgh under Bonagius, B behind head, Extremely Rare
28x29mm, 3.82g

Robert II was the first monarch of the House of Stuart, the son of Walter Stuart, and grandson of Robert the Bruce. The weight standard and general appearance of his coinage was similar to the later issues of David II. During his reign coins were struck at Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee.

An unusually well struck example of this rare issue, the first we’ve had.
