Edward III Gold Noble 1327-1377AD Pre-Treaty, Series C, London. S1486

A stunning example of an early Medieval gold coin, Edward III was the first to introduce a series of gold coins. The Noble, half and quarter nobles were used as the primary gold coins up to and during the reign of Edward IV 1461-70AD.

This coin is well struck on a full flan. There are some surface scuffs consistent with it being a field find.
