An exciting group of Iron Age coins has been listed today, gold staters, quarter staters and silver from all of the coin issuing tribes, the stars include the best Dobunni Eisu stater we’ve ever seen (yes, it really is that good!) and an excessively rare silver unit of Verica, arguably the finest known.
A nice selection of British coins have been listed today, starting with some really rare sceat’s, an example of the rarely seen Aelfwald II’s short lived coinage and the coveted ‘Fledgling type’ from the Secondary series.
Still with the Saxon’s a selection of pennies of Aethelred and Edward the Confessor then important Medieval pieces like Robert the Bruce of Scotland and Oliver Cromwell.

Included is a fantastic hoard of Bronze Age axe heads found in Wales and some seldom seen Romano British items.
