The best example of this usurper we have seen to date. Lovely metal and strike both sides, little if any wear.
Laelian who of Spanish descent and had a military career. He rebelled against Postumus in AD 269 and although he may have had the backing of Claudius Gothicus he was quickly besieged in Mainz on the Rhine. When Mainz fell to Postumus Laelian was captured and put to death.
Laelian had a brief coinage minted in his name.
