Evans: XV.14 (1864, p. 390, pl. XV).
Allen Type: British IIf.
Van Arsdell Classification: Icenian D, Early Inscribed Silver Coins, CANI DVRO.
Talbot Cani Dvro. A small issue not struck at one of the major mints. This includes Mildenhall, Cani Duro, Antedi Sia, Ali Sca, Esv Prasto and Ece A (Ecen Stepping Horse). Cani Dvro is stylistically related to Boar Horse C and was likely struck between that and Anted, making it the first Icenian inscribed coin. The lack of other denominations suggest it is a local issue from the south west of the region, but it could have been struck by Mint A with Boar Horse C.
Talbot Chronology: Gallo-Belgic E/Ingoldisthorpe – Early Local Period I (55BC-35BC) – Early Local Period II (35BC-15BC) – Denominational Period I (15BC-5: Snettisham – Plouviez – Irstead – Early Boar Horse) – Denominational Period II (5-25: Boar Horse B – Boar Horse C) – Denominational Period III (25-45).

CANI DVRO
A name which appears on some coins of the ‘boar-horse’ series (ABC 1630/BMC 3521–23) is that of ‘CANI DVRO’. This issue was possibly struck in the first two decades of the 1st century AD, although it is uncertain whether ‘CANI DVRO’ reflects the location of a mint, the name of a ruler, an official or even two completely separate individuals.
