Henry VII Gold Angel 1485-1509AD
27mm, 4.90g

The gold angel was introduced by Edward IV in 1465, replacing the original gold noble, its value was six shillings and eight pence, equivalent to a third of a pound of gold. The coin derives its name from the obverse depiction of the archangel Michael, slaying a wyvern (dragon).

A well balanced example with the angel showing clear facial details.
