A small selection of Greek, Roman & Byzantine coins have been listed this week, a gold Stater of Philip II and Electrum stater from Carthage, together with a run of Tiberius denarii from the Helmingham hoard (Suffolk). Ending with gold solidi dating to the end of the Roman Empire, Zeno was the last in a long line of emperors before the Byzantine Empire took hold.
