Catti (AD 1–20?)

Dobunnic coins struck in the name of Catti occur on only one of the tree/horse gold stater types (ABC 2057/BMC 3057–60). Single finds of this type have a relatively dispersed pattern, mostly occurring around Worcester and Gloucester as well as down both sides of the Severn estuary. A secondary, small concentration of Catti staters can be found loosely dispersed around the border regions of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. Nothing is known about him, save that coins were issued in his name.
