Roman 4th-5th Century copper-alloy buckle plates (pair)

Previously thought to be Early Saxon in date, this type of artefact is recorded the the Portable Antiquities Scheme as being from the Late Roman period, use as buckle plates has been suggested but it would be unusual for a pair like this to be found if this was correct.
