Chris Rudd suggests DVMNOC TIGIR SENO might be Tigirseno, ‘Old Lord’, son or subordinate of Dumnocoveros or perhaps a joint magistrate.

Van Arsdell Classification: Corieltauvian O, Corieltauvian Inscribed Coinage, DVMNOC TIGIR SENO. Acccording to Van Arsdell, the coinage is linked to the preceding VEP CORF and the following VOLISIOS DVMNOCOVEROS. Some were found at Hallaton, so must have existed before the Claudian Invasion.

Leins Type: DTS 1 (BNJ 2007, p.43-6).

DVMNOCOVEROS TIGIRSENO

Within his survey of Corieltavian coins recovered at Hallaton, Ian Leins places those with more literate inscriptions towards the end of the sequence. However, this is of little help in understanding the reasoning for their placement on coins. ‘DVMNOCOVEROS TIGIRSENO’ is one of these, an issuer of particularly impressive gold staters (ABC 1971/BMC 3325–27). The possibility that these were in fact two individuals, possibly local administrators or magistrates, cannot be ruled out – and indeed this hypothesis was suggested as such by Derek Allen in the 1960s. These coins may well have been struck in the AD 30s–40s, or perhaps even slightly later.
