Today’s upload consists of choice English silver coins, beginning with pennies from the kingdom of Wessex, Aethelstan, Eadred and the late Saxon kings. Both William I & II (Rufus) are represented then we skip to Tudor rarities including a clear Boars head penny of Richard III, wonderful portrait of Henry VII and a run of Newark siege pieces.
There is so much history represented in this tray!

Today we have added a fantastic selection of Medieval gold coins from across Europe, English kings like Edward III & Henry VI stand alongside Louis De Male from Belgium & Philip De Bon from Holland.
Design varied greatly in this period but was elaborate & intricate, surviving in these wonderful gold coins which can still be very much enjoyed today.

Today we have listed a Henry VI Noble and two Gothic crowns, premium coins like this are a delight to handle and showcase the very best of their respective periods.
The extremely successful English noble was introduced in AD 1344 by Edward III and remained the main gold denomination for over 100 years. This example has been certified & encapsulated by NGC, graded as AU58 (Extremely Fine) with a large flan and attractive tone.
The Gothic crowns of queen Victoria are arguably one of the finest designs in the entire milled series by Royal Academy Member William Wyon. Proof plain edge coins dated AD 1847 are rare and beautiful but coins dated AD 1853 are seldom offered for sale and were struck in very small numbers indeed.
We have great pleasure in offering both for sale here!
