A tip off from a chance find in Kent during the 19th Century led metal detectorists to discover a wonderful hoard of Iron Age gold coins in 2019. The hoard consists of gold staters of king Cunobelin and after being declared then disclaimed under the Treasure act this exciting find is now being made available to private collectors exclusively by Silbury Coins Ltd, the leading Iron Age coin dealership. This is a rare opportunity to buy coins from such a find as most are retained by museums, in fact the last time this happened it was the Vine Leaf Hoard of Atrebatic staters, also handled by us in 2013.

This truly magnificent piece will be familiar to many as the Arras Medallion of Constantius I. A spectacular gold medallion valued at 10 solidi issued to commemorate the end of Constantius’s campaign, his victory over the British usurper Allectus and the recapture of London circa AD 297.
