12th Century Crusader Period Pendant with Hanger
65x25mm, 9.28g

The two pieces (hangar and pendant) were found separately but within a few metres in an arable field during 2018 by a metal detectorist.

Bronze with some gold gilding remaining. The separate pieces have been joined together with wire for display purposes.

The piece has been dated to the 12^th century by the style of the cross shaped hangar and typical Romanesque style beast displayed on the pendant.
