The finest example of 5 known, struck on a large flan showing much detail.
ABC attributes this coin to the ‘Berkshire’ tribe, whose name is now lost, who seemed to exist in Berkshire and south Oxfordshire. They may have had links to the Ambiani of Gaul, East Wiltshire tribe (ABC 2116 horse/boar is remarkably similar) or the Atrebates of Hampshire.
