The Heytesbury Hoard of Charles I, James I & Elizabeth I Silver coins, deposited in AD 1644-5, during the English Civil War.
This group listing represents the entire hoard bar one coin (a Charles I halfcrown struck at Bristol, offered separately item code QM177), comprising of the following:
Elizabeth I
1* Shilling
2* Sixpences
James I
1* Shilling
Charles I
1* half crown
9* shillings (one of which is an interesting contemporary forgery)
An interesting snap shot into the purse of a mid 17th century pocket, seldom are finds like this offered together.
This interesting Treasure find was recorded and declared treasure as per English law, with no museum wishing to quire it was disclaimed and returned to the finder making it available to the private collector via us.
