We’re also excited to introduce two new tools for collectors and researchers: anAnglo-Saxon mints map
and a rarity table, now available on our website to support deeper exploration of early English coinage.
For our premium offerings, we’ve added detailed video presentations for all coins over £1,000, so you
can experience each piece up close, wherever you are in the world.

Here’s to a summer filled with discovery and collecting!

*JUST LAUNCHED*
THE LITTLE BUSBY HOARD

Sometime during AD 202-204, in the North Eastern corner of the Roman province of Britannia, a citizen was compelled to bury his hoard of 392 silver denari, equivalent in value to around £9,500 in modern day currency. A substantial amount given that a successful Roman soldier would have been paid around 300 denari per year. Now, it’s our privilege to share that excitement with you—the collector—by offering the chance to own coins from an authentic Roman Treasure hoard.

Catalogued as S1057, the piece measures 19mm in diameter and weighs 1.02 grams, with remarkably clear legends and a well-struck portrait — a testament to the high-quality craftsmanship of the period

Late Anglo Saxon Mints and Rarity Ratings

We’ve just added a Late Anglo-Saxon Mints Map and Rarity Ratings Table to the Anglo-Saxon section of our website—designed to help collectors gain deeper insight into their coins. The mints map shows where coins were struck across England, providing valuable context and aiding attribution, while the rarity table helps you understand how common or scarce a particular type or mint is.

Whether you’re building a type set or researching a new acquisition, these tools offer added clarity and confidence for both new and experienced collectors.
