History to Nero
Nero was the last Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, adopted by his great uncle Claudius he became Claudius’ heir and successor, and like Claudius with the consent of the Praetorian Guard. Nero’s mother was Agrippina the Younger; she was likely involved in Claudius’ death and Nero’s nomination as emperor. Agrippina dominated Nero’s early life and political decisions until he had her killed five years into his reign.
