This item comes from a large collection of antiquities found by a group of metal detectorists over nearly 50 years in the fields around Rochester, Kent, South East England. Many of the items were recovered from the ground in the 1980’s & 1990’s before intensive farming really took off meaning that they are in better condition than artefacts found today.
